HTML sitemap generator

An XML sitemap is for crawlers; an HTML sitemap is a page people can browse. Paste URLs (with titles if you have them) and get a tidy nested list.

Do you need an HTML sitemap?

Small sites with clear navigation rarely do. Large sites with deep sections, documentation sites and older sites with many orphaned pages benefit: an HTML sitemap gives every page at least one internal link and gives visitors a fallback when search fails. Link it from the footer.

URLs are grouped by path, so /services/seo appears under Services. Without titles, labels are derived from the URL segments.

Questions

Does an HTML sitemap replace the XML one?

No. They serve different readers. Keep the XML sitemap for search engines.

Can I style the output?

The full page includes minimal CSS; the fragment option gives you a plain <nav> list to style with your own CSS.

How many links is too many?

Keep it usable — a few hundred links per page. For very large sites, link to section-level pages instead of every URL.

Can I feed it my XML sitemap?

Yes. Paste or upload the XML; URLs are read from it.
